I think the 4 pillars of SEO are :

• Make your site work properly
• Create good content
• Optimize that content
• Get other sites to link to you

Same thing, less jargon

Start with #2 (good content). Nothing else matters if content sucks

SEO takes months not days

Typical timeline:

Week 1-2: google finds and indexes your content
Month 1-3: starts showing up on page 3-5
Month 3-6: gradually climbs to page 1-2
Month 6-12: reaches final ranking position


Youtube is faster than blogs. can rank in days or weeks instead of months ...

Here is my exact process:

Before making video:

Find keyword people actually search
Type topic into youtube search bar
Look at autocomplete suggestions
Pick one with decent search volume but not too competitive


While making video:

Say the keyword in first 30 seconds
Say it 2-3 more ...

I needed about 250k monthly views to hit $1k

My rpm is around $4

But some months it's higher (december = $6 rpm) and some lower (january = $2.50 rpm)

Takes most people 12-18 months of consistent posting to get to those view numbers

Definitely possible but not quick money

I ignore seo scores completely now

I had a video with 95% tubebuddy score get 200 views.
I also had a video with 35% score get 50k views

Watch time
