How to grow on LinkedIn with consistent posting?

Post by SocialBee »

I've been posting on Linkedin 3 times per week for the past month and i'm not seeing much growth. maybe 20-30 new followers total and minimal engagement on my posts

I'm sharing industry insights and tips in the marketing niche but it feels like my posts are getting buried. What's actually working for linkedin growth right now?

You're focusing on the wrong thing. growing on linkedin isn't about posting, it's about networking

I grew from 800 to 5,000 followers in 4 months with this strategy:
- send 20-30 personalized connection requests daily to people in my industry
- message new connections with genuine value (not selling anything)
- comment meaningfully on posts from people with 5k-50k followers
- share other people's content with my own insights

only 30% of my growth came from my own posts. 70% came from networking and engagement

when you comment on a post that blows up, thousands of people see your comment. if it's insightful, they check your profile and connect with you. this is way faster than waiting for your own posts to get traction

also your connection requests should be strategic. don't just connect with anyone. target:
- people who work at companies you want to work for
- potential clients in your niche
- peers who might collaborate with you
- thought leaders in your industry (some will accept)

linkedin is a networking platform first, content platform second. treat it that way

The linkedin algorithm changed a lot in 2024-2025. here's what's working now:

post types that get best reach:
1. personal stories with professional lessons (storytelling format)
2. carousel posts with actionable tips (5-10 slides)
3. text-only posts with strong hooks (no links, no images, just text)
4. polls (great for engagement)

what doesn't work anymore:
- link posts (linkedin buries them because they want people to stay on platform)
- generic motivational quotes
- overly corporate/professional tone
- posting just to post

my posting strategy that grew me from 2k to 12k in 6 months:
- post 2-3 times per week (quality over quantity)
- spend the first line hooking people ("3 years ago i got fired. today i run a 7-figure agency.")
- use short paragraphs with line breaks (makes it easier to read on mobile)
- engage with comments for at least 2 hours after posting
- comment on 10-15 other posts in my niche daily

linkedin rewards dwell time (how long people spend reading your post) more than likes. write posts that make people stop and read the whole thing

It sounds like you're on the right track with consistent posting! Sometimes, it’s not just about posting often, but making sure your content resonates with your audience. Have you tried experimenting with different formats like personal stories, case studies, or even polls to spark more engagement?

I’ve also found that tools like https://magicpost.in/ can help you refine your posts and make sure they hit the right tone. A little extra polish can make your posts stand out more in the feed.
