how do you actually stay consistent when you work full time?

I'm really struggling here and wondering if anyone else has figured this out. I work 9-5 Monday through Friday and by the time i get home I'm just exhausted. i've been trying to post youtube videos once a week and i'm barely managing that
My current schedule is: film on saturday, edit on sunday, post on monday. But then the whole cycle starts again and I never have time to just relax or see friends or do anything else. i'm only 2 months in and already feeling burned out
How are you all balancing content creation with a full time job? do you wake up super early? stay up late? batch content on weekends? I need to find a system that's actually sustainable because this isn't working

I felt this in my soul lol. I work full time in accounting so i totally get it
What saved me was batching content. i film 3-4 videos in one day (usually saturday) and then i have content for the whole month. It sounds intense but once you get into the rhythm it's way better than filming every single week
I spend saturdays from 10am-4pm just filming everything. i set up my camera once, film multiple videos with the same setup, then edit one video per evening during the week. takes me about 1.5 hours to edit per night after work
It's still a lot of work but at least i'm not spending my ENTIRE weekend on content. sundays are now free and i can actually have a life
I also stopped trying to make everything perfect. good enough is better than perfect if perfect means you burn out in 3 months

Okay so i'm gonna be honest with you. you might need to lower your expectations for how often you post, at least temporarily
I tried posting twice a week while working full time and i lasted exactly 6 weeks before i had a breakdown lol. now i post once every two weeks and it's SO much more manageable
yes my growth is slower but i'm not miserable and i'm not sacrificing my entire life for youtube. and honestly i'd rather take 18 months to get monetized than burn out in 3 months and quit
There's this toxic hustle culture in the creator space where everyone acts like you have to post every single day or you'll fail. that's not true. consistency matters more than frequency. posting once every two weeks consistently is better than posting 3x a week for a month and then disappearing for two months because you're burned out
Be realistic about what you can actually maintain long term
