Dealing with Haters When You’re Still Small

So I just need to rant for a sec lol. I posted a new short last night, barely 300 views, and somehow two randoms decided to drop hate comments. Like, full essays about how “my content sucks” and “why do people even watch this.” I get that not everyone will like my stuff but… it still stings, you know? Especially when you’re still trying to figure things out.

I deleted one of the comments, but the other one I left. Weirdly, it kinda pushed me to edit better today. It’s like, yeah they were rude, but maybe that anger energy turned into motivation 😂 Still, sometimes it makes me question if I’m cut out for this whole creator thing.

Anyone else had to deal with that kinda negativity early on? Do you reply, ignore, or block them? I don’t wanna be that person who gets dragged into drama, but man it’s tough.

Honestly, same here. I remember my first hate comment like it was yesterday 😅 I was mad for a bit, but later I realized that it means someone actually watched my stuff long enough to have an opinion. That’s engagement 😂 Just don’t let it get to your head. Block if it’s too toxic, but don’t stop creating because of them.

Yeah, haters gonna hate, always. Sometimes it’s just bored people scrolling, looking for someone to dump their own frustration on. If you’re getting hate, it means you’re doing something right. I usually just laugh it off and move on. Don’t feed them because they hate that more.
