Best Free Tools Every Forum Owner Should Be Using in 2025

Post by RisingAdmin »

Alright, so I’ve been messing around with a few tools lately to keep my forum from falling apart 😅. If you run one, you already know how it gets, spam bots, dead threads, people posting once and disappearing. Anyway, I figured I’d drop a few free tools that can actually help you out

I’m not talking about fancy paid stuff. Just free ones that actually work.
  • Microlikes – this one’s been solid. It adds those small “like” buttons on threads, and it’s crazy how people respond better when they can just click a like instead of typing. I noticed more folks reacting and hanging around longer.
  • Canva – I suck at design, no shame there. But Canva’s made it easy to make a clean-looking banner or image post without hiring anyone. You just drag stuff around and it looks pro somehow.
  • Google Analytics – yeah, it’s a bit boring, but it helps me see where my traffic’s coming from. Sometimes I’ll find out most visitors came from a random Reddit thread I didn’t even post on.
  • Grammarly – not perfect, but I type fast and make dumb typos, so it catches the worst of it.
  • ChatGPT – I mostly use it for topic ideas or when I’ve got zero inspiration. I’ll type “make me a thread about sports rivalries” and just tweak what it gives me. Works fine when you’re lazy, lol.
These tools didn’t make my forum blow up overnight, but they made managing stuff a lot smoother. No magic, just less headache.

Anyway, that’s my little list.
What about you guys? Any free tools that helped you out lately? I’m always hunting for new ones to try.
