Who has more users, YouTube Shorts or TikTok?

I have been trying to decide where to focus my short form content. Which platform is bigger, is it Youtube shorts or Tiktok?

It doesn't matter which has more users. Post on both
I upload same video to:
- Tiktok
- Youtube shorts
- Instagram reels
It takes 10 extra minutes and 3x my reach. Youtube shorts vs tiktok debate is pointless. Use both, they serve different audiences
Youtube shorts get me more subscribers. Tiktok gets me more viral moments
Why choose when you can do both?

Tiktok users:
- 1.7 billion monthly active users worldwide
- Been around since 2016
- Dominant in short form video
Youtube shorts users:
- 2+ billion youtube users total
- 1.5 billion watching shorts monthly
- Launched 2021, growing fast
Youtube technically has more total users but tiktok users are more engaged with short form content
Engagement differences:
- Tiktok: average user spends 95 minutes per day
- Youtube shorts: average 30-40 minutes per day
Tiktok users are more addicted to the platform. youtube shorts users also watch long form videos
Both platforms are huge. i'd post on both honestly
