I'm trying to figure out if youtube income is realistic. How many views needed to hit $1k per month?

If totally depends on your rpm

My niche (personal finance):

• Rpm: $16
• Need 62,500 views per month for $1k

gaming niche:

• Rpm: $2-3
• Need 400k-500k views per month for $1k

Tech reviews:

• Rpm: $8
• Need 125k views per month for $1k

Also depends on audience location. us viewers pay way more than other countries

My advice: don't rely only on adsense. i make $1k/month but only $400 is adsense. rest is affiliates and sponsors

Easier to hit $1k total than $1k from ads alone

I needed about 250k monthly views to hit $1k

My rpm is around $4

But some months it's higher (december = $6 rpm) and some lower (january = $2.50 rpm)

Takes most people 12-18 months of consistent posting to get to those view numbers

Definitely possible but not quick money
