Is YouTube growing or declining?

I've been hearing mixed things about YouTube. Some say youtube is dying, others say it's bigger than ever. So, I'm so confused right now. What's the truth?

Whoever says youtube is dying, then that person is just being mean. The watch time is up, users are up, revenue is up. Youtube shorts competing with tiktok everyday.

I know that it's harder to grow as a small channel, but that's because there's more competition and not because the platform is dying. Youtube will surly outlive tiktok and instagram reels tbh

It's not dying but it's definitely changing and growing. Algorithms favor shorts more now. The long form is harder to grow unless you're already established. I also see more AI content flooding the platform. So, it’s not dying but you need to adapt to how it's changing. This tells you that you can't use 2018 strategies in 2025
