I'm trying to figure out the right posting frequency. i see some blogs post daily, others once a month
What posting schedule is best for SEO and growth? i can probably manage 1-2 posts per week realistically

consistency matters more than frequency
i tested different publishing schedules:
daily posts for 3 months:
- 90 posts published
- burned out hard
- quality suffered
- traffic: grew to 400 visitors/day
weekly posts for 6 months:
- 24 posts published
- much higher quality
- sustainable pace
- traffic: grew to 1,200 visitors/day
lesson: fewer high-quality posts beat many mediocre posts
recommended posting frequency by experience level:
- complete beginner: once a week (gives you time to learn and improve)
- intermediate: 2-3 times per week (if you can maintain quality)
- established blog: focus on updating old content, post 1-2 new posts per week
what google cares about:
- regular updates (not necessarily daily)
- fresh content added over time
- comprehensive coverage of topics
publishing one amazing post per week beats seven mediocre posts per week
every single time
pick a schedule you can sustain for years, not months. this is a marathon

I’m going to disagree:
more content = faster growth, period
when i increased from 1 post per week to 3 posts per week, my traffic growth tripled
why posting frequency matters:
- more posts = more keywords you can rank for
- more indexed pages = more authority signals
- more content = more internal linking opportunities
- faster topical authority
my growth comparison:
blog 1 (1 post/week):
- after 12 months: 52 posts, 600 visitors/day
blog 2 (3 posts/week):
- after 12 months: 156 posts, 2,400 visitors/day
same niche, same quality.
4x the traffic with 3x the posting frequency
"but what about quality?" - you can maintain quality at higher volume if you:
- batch research and writing
- use templates for common post types
- outsource editing/formatting
- repurpose content from other platforms
1-2 posts per week is fine if that's all you can do. but don't pretend higher frequency doesn't matter. it absolutely does
the fastest growing blogs in every niche publish 3-5+ times per week. that's not a coincidence
