I'm considering getting twitter blue (now called X premium) but i'm not sure if it's worth the monthly cost. does it actually help with reach and growth?

Has anyone seen better performance after subscribing? or is it just a waste of money?

Had x premium for 3 months and cancelled it. wasn't worth it for me

what i thought would happen:
- more reach on my tweets
- faster growth
- better engagement

what actually happened:
- same reach as before
- same growth rate
- no noticeable difference in engagement
- made $12 total from ad revenue (not worth $24 spent)

The blue checkmark is nice but it doesn't actually boost your content in the algorithm. twitter says premium members get priority in replies but i didn't notice this making any difference in my growth

the only real benefit is longer tweets and edit button, and those aren't worth $8/month to me

my advice: focus on improving your content and engagement strategy. that's free and will have way more impact than paying for premium

premium is for people who are already successful on twitter and want extra features. It won't help you grow from zero

save your money and invest it in content creation tools instead

I've had x premium for 6 months and it's been worth it for me. here's why:

benefits that actually matter:
- longer tweets (4,000 characters vs 280) - i use this for threads in single tweets
- edit button (life saver for typos)
- blue checkmark adds credibility
- your replies show up higher in threads (this is huge for engagement)
- eligibility for ad revenue share (i make $50-150/month from my tweets)

The prioritized replies alone are worth it. When I reply to big accounts, my reply shows up near the top instead of buried. this has gotten me hundreds of followers

ad revenue is a nice bonus but don't expect to get rich. you need millions of impressions to make decent money. but it does offset the cost of premium

cost: $8/month or $84/year (save money with annual)

if you're serious about growing on twitter and you tweet regularly, it's worth it. if you're casual user who tweets once a week, skip it
