How do I get more views on YouTube with 0 subscribers?

I just started my channel last week and I have literally 0 subscribers (well, 3 but they're my friends lol). my videos are getting like 8-15 views and i know that's probably normal but i'm wondering how you're supposed to grow when nobody is seeing your content

like it's a catch 22 right? you need views to get subscribers but you need subscribers to get views. How did you break out of that initial stage where you had no audience at all?

I'm making videos about productivity and study tips for students. I think my content is pretty good but obviously nobody knows i exist yet

I'm in the exact same niche (study content) and i grew from 0 to 1200 subscribers in 5 months so it's definitely possible

The study/productivity niche is perfect for small channels because people are actively searching for solutions. you don't need subscribers to get views, you need to solve specific problems

My most viewed video is "how to take cornell notes in notion" - super specific, low competition keyword, and it gets steady views every single day even months after posting. that's the kind of content you should be making at the beginning

Also engage with other studytube channels. leave genuine comments (not "great video check out my channel" BS), and some of their audience will click on your profile and find your content. i got my first 50 subs just from being active in the comment sections of bigger channels

And make sure your channel has a clear value proposition. when someone lands on your channel page, they should immediately understand what you offer. mine says "realistic study tips for students who actually have a life" and that resonated with people

Everyone starts at zero so don't feel bad about it. i had 0 subscribers for my first 2 weeks and i was getting like 5 views per video (probably all me rewatching my own video lol)

Here's what actually worked for me: i stopped trying to get subscribers and focused on getting views from search instead. i used youtube search bar to find questions people were asking, then made videos answering those exact questions with the question as my title

For example, instead of "my study routine" I made "how to study for finals in 3 days" because people actually search for that specific problem. got 800 views on that video even with 0 subscribers

Also share your videos in relevant places but don't be spammy about it. if there's a subreddit for students, share your study tips video there. if there's a discord community for productivity, post it there. just make sure you're actually contributing to the community and not just dropping links

Your first 100 subscribers will come from search and external traffic, not from youtube recommendations. focus on that
