For the longest time, I was uploading random stuff gaming clips, vlogs, a few tutorials, basically no focus. My growth was flat. Then around mid-2024, I decided to niche down and just stick to gaming tutorials. That one change literally saved my channel. The audience finally knew what to expect, and YouTube started recommending my stuff more.
Also, I started posting Shorts twice a week. I know people say Shorts don’t always bring loyal followers, but for me, they helped a lot. Some of those viewers ended up checking out my long videos too.
The biggest shift though was mindset. I stopped chasing viral moments and just worked on being consistent. I didn’t hit 10K overnight, it came slowly, but it came. I think a lot of people quit too early because they don’t see fast results. But if you really love what you do, you just keep at it.
Not saying I’ve “made it” or anything, but I’m proud. Seeing comments from people who say my guides helped them , that’s what keeps me going.
How long did it take you guys to hit your first milestone? I’d love to hear your stories too.
